Michigan State football picks up crystal balls for 4-star RB Jason Brown
Over the weekend, Michigan State football landed one of the best running backs in the 2024 class in the form of four-star Anthony Carrie from Tampa.
It was Mel Tucker’s biggest recruiting win in the class but it seems as if he’s not done yet.
Just a couple of days after landing Carrie, Michigan State is becoming the favorite to land four-star top-100 running back Jason Brown from Washington.
On Monday evening, 247Sports MSU insiders Justin Thind and Corey Robinson placed crystal balls for Brown to pick the Spartans after his official visit. This comes as surprising news because he’s so highly-regarded in the 2024 class and he has some big-time offers from the likes of Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and USC.
A two-back class with Carrie and Brown would be unbelievable.
Brown is ranked the No. 90 overall recruit and No. 8 running back in the 2024 class, according to the composite. He would pair nicely with Carrie, the nation’s No. 273 recruit.
Michigan State football’s 2024 class is just getting started
The 2024 recruiting class got off to an unbelievably slow start but the Spartans look to be picking up some steam. They have gone from three commits at the beginning of June to nine pledges by June 26 and now this massive crystal ball.
Brown would be Tucker’s second-best commitment over the past five years, according to Thind.
If Tucker and Effrem Reed can land Brown to pair with Carrie, the class could be looking like one of the fastest-rising in the country. They could speed up the process for other guys to commit and join what looks to be a potential top-20 class.
Folks, Tucker’s just getting started.
