Michigan State football: 3 freshmen who will have major impacts in 2023
OK, I know I said I was really excited about the other two freshmen on this list, but I am really pumped about Bai Jobe in the green and white. He has the potential to be one of the best players on the defensive side of the ball maybe not right away, but definitely by his sophomore year.
Jobe played his high school ball in Oklahoma and many believed that he would be headed to play for the Sooners but Alabama even made a late push for him.
Like Stanton Ramil, a lot of fans were worried that these late pursuits from blue blood programs would cause a flip. Fortunately, he remained with Michigan State and Brandon Jordan was probably a big reason for that. Even after Jordan left, Jobe stuck with Mel Tucker and Michigan State.
Athletically, Jobe is a freak and he is going to cause some problems off the edge. I would be shocked if the highest-ranked signee in the Tucker era didn’t make an impact right away.
The defensive line is strong, but Jobe is a future star.
