We are just days away from the start of official visit season and Michigan State football fans are hoping for some good news on the recruiting trail.

Mel Tucker and Co. have set up dozens of official visits for the month of June, including one with four-star offensive tackle Nathan Roy.

The four-star from Wisconsin is considered one of the top at his position in the 2024 class and On3 has him listed as high as No. 46 in the country overall and as the No. 7 offensive tackle. The only recruiting service to have him listed as a three-star is 247Sports.

Well, on Tuesday, the four-star tackle released a list of his top three schools, including the Spartans.

UCLA and Minnesota also made the cut, making this an all-Big Ten top three (when he gets to campus, UCLA will officially be in the Big Ten).

He also posted a commitment date of June 20.

Can Michigan State football win this recruiting battle?

Roy would be a huge recruiting win for Tucker and Chis Kapilovic and based on their offensive line recruiting in recent classes, it would make sense that they seal the deal here.

Minnesota gets the final official visit on June 16, one week after Michigan State gets an official visit from Roy. Ideally, you want the last official before a decision so PJ Fleck and the Gophers have to like where they stand.

Roy has no crystal ball predictions on 247Sports, but On3’s prediction machine lists Michigan State as the favorite with Minnesota second and UCLA third.
