Pro: Urinals vs. Troughs

Democrat vs. Republican. Dogs vs. Cats. God vs. the Devil. All these battles pale in comparison to the urinals vs. troughs debate. Me personally? I’m a urinal guy. They provide a bit of boundary in a place that needs law and order. With troughs, it’s tough to commit to a spot that you think you can fit in.

You may underestimate your size (of your shoulder broadness) and try to squeeze into a spot and before you know it, there’s shoulder to shoulder contact in a place where there really should be any eye-wandering, talking, and least of all, physical contact.

What happens if mid-stride to said spot, you decide that you can comfortable fit, what do you do? Try to get your spot back in line? Keep walking until a spot opens up? That’s too much.

With a urinal, there’s no confusion on how many people can use it at one time. It’s line -> preferred receptacle -> wash hands -> leave. Especially with the previously mentioned alcohol availability at Ford Field, the men’s bathroom is the last place one should feel doubt, confusion, and hesitation.

Urinals solve every single one of those problems.
