Con: What happens to Senior Day?

For most schools, the last home game of the season is used to honor the seniors that have sacrificed time, relationships, and their bodies over the last 4-5 years.

It takes immense discipline, talent, and passion to be a college athlete and that should be recognized in every sport every year. It’s the last time these players will play at Spartan Stadium and possibly ever play any type of organized sport again. It’s extremely emotional for not only the student athletes, but for the parents who have made sacrifices to see their child succeed as well as the fans who have watched a lot of these players grow in front of our very eyes.

This this game not being in East Lansing, senior night will either be at Ford Field, where the senior class has not made any memorable experiences versus the countless memories made in The Woodshed or it will be the home game against Nebraska on Nov. 4, with three games still left to play after that.

Senior Day is a tradition at many schools and MSU is no different. The game being moved feels like the tradition is being downplayed, as the seniors will not have the same experience that Spartans of the past have shared.
