Pro: They serve alcohol at Ford Field

Ford Field has a distinct advantage over Spartan Stadium in that they are able to serve alcohol.

There are few things better than sipping a brew while watching some Big Ten football. Many of us are crossing our fingers that Governor Gretchen Whitmer signs the bill to bring alcohol sales to college stadiums in Michigan soon, it doesn’t look like it is going to be this year, so this is the closest we’ll get to buying a $13 beer at a Michigan State game for now.

Perhaps the governor will see this a test run to see how much money a college game can bring in or how many fans (particularly college age fans) will end up over-served.

As a fan of college sports, I feel it is my duty to go to this game, drink a few adult beverages, and report back with how the entire experience went. I won’t let you, the readers (and real heroes), down.
