When it rains, it pours. It’s been a tough offseason for Michigan State football recruiting and that’s likely to continue this weekend with four-star defensive line target Xadavien Sims announcing.

While the Spartans owned 100 percent of the crystal balls for Sims earlier this week on 247Sports, gears have quickly shifted. In fact, it looks like Oregon has made a huge push for the four-star defensive lineman after being the last Power Five team to offer him this winter.

Oregon made his top five ahead of the decision along with Michigan State, TCU, Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt, and it looks like the Ducks are going to be able to pull off the win.

The 247Sports crystal balls have flipped quickly in favor of Oregon, led by the coveted Steve Wiltfong prediction. Corey Robinson, too, has flipped his crystal ball from MSU to Oregon.

Not a great feeling for Spartan fans.

Michigan State football fans will have to move on to the next

Losing the four-star defensive lineman after feeling good about him not too long ago is going to be a tough pill for Spartan fans to swallow, but it’s on to the next (again).

Sims clearly liked what Dan Lanning and Oregon had to offer and they made a strong late push for the Durant, Okla., star. He’s one of the best defensive linemen in the class and Mel Tucker had to know that top programs were going to come in with tough-to-refuse offers.

The major Spartan target on the line is David Stone who is likely choosing between Michigan State and Oklahoma, but Oregon has made a big move there recently as well.
