We are just days away from a big decision that will affect Michigan State football’s 2024 class one way or another.

Four-star defensive lineman Xadavien Sims from Durant, Okla., is getting set to announce his decision on Saturday evening at 4:45 p.m. ET. He currently has a top five of Michigan State, TCU, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, and Oregon.

He will be announcing his decision live on 247Sports’ YouTube page.

Now that the commitment is looming in just a few days, there are rumors circling around where he may end up.

And, to no one’s surprise, he’s very difficult to read.

Michigan State football fans don’t know what to expect

Michigan State holds 100 percent of the crystal balls on 247Sports for Sims, including a big one from national recruiting expert and insider Steve Wiltfong. That might be the most important prediction out there, but he made it back in November. It’s been a while since he was confident enough to predict that Sims winds up in East Lansing.

If you switch sites and go look at On3, Michigan State is the current leader, holding a 51.6 percent prediction from their database. Oregon is second and Oklahoma is close behind at No. 3. But the predictions for the Spartans are old and the newer ones are for Oklahoma and Oregon.

Many believed Michigan State was the leader here for a while, but the longer the process has drawn out, the less confident we are.

Bai Jobe is close with Sims so there could be a chance that his relationship helps him choose the Spartans, but Oregon has seemingly made up serious ground since offering recently and Oklahoma is the home-state program.

If I had to venture a guess, I’d pick either Oklahoma or Oregon to land him just based on the momentum, but Michigan State is in that top three. As of right now, no one truly knows.
