Jordan Hall probably looked the best of any defender during the open spring practice and while that’s not saying much because it wasn’t quite a live scrimmage, just drills, it was still impressive to see the freshman look like a veteran out there.

That’s been the main praise regarding Hall since he got to East Lansing: he’s a leader.

In fact, he was a three-year captain at IMG Academy which is pretty much unheard of and he finished as a top-200 recruit in the 2023 class. He’s a natural born leader and all you have to do is listen to him speak to his teammates and watch how they absorb everything he says. He has a certain draw to him that only the top leaders have.

Long story short, Hall looked like a budding star and he’s only going to get better in the green and white. He already looks the part but he’s only going to get better when he’s given a larger role next year and beyond.

Buy stock in Hall now because he should have a decent backup role this season and then he could be a multi-year starter and captain in the green and white.
