The certified starter

Christian Watson (2nd round, 2022, North Dakota State, 24 years old in May)

Christian Watson is the one receiver who I do not think Jayden Reed will surpass. Watson, a second-rounder last year, has six inches on Reed.

After his first target was a drop in 2022, Watson quietly rebounded for 611 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Additionally, he had 80 rushing yards, adding two more on the ground. Watson has a year of experience with the Packers’ system and has earned the role of WR1 for the Packers this year.

Reed may not beat him, but not all is glum news, though. Watson, at 6-foot-5, will likely wind up drawing double coverage to dissuade Jordan Love from throwing toward his biggest target.

I firmly expect Reed to see a lot of the field next year. He will provide first-year starting quarterback Jordan Love a security blanket with the ability to bail him out of any off-target throw.

Next. Projected starting 5 with Malik Hall back. dark
