Richmond (Sept. 9)
Predicted spread: MSU -28.5
Richmond is the first FCS team to visit Spartan Stadium since 2016 when Furman came to town. While the Spartans won, it was by a smaller margin than what was expected. As the rest of the season played out, it made a lot more sense that MSU wasn’t leaps and bounds better than an FCS team, but I digress.
Richmond may be a top team in FCS’s Colonial Athletic Association, but it’s equal to being the world’s fastest second grader. MSU should win this game convincingly à la Akron last year.
Not much more to say about this one.
Prediction: Michigan State 48, Richmond 13
