The 2024 Michigan State basketball recruiting class got off to a nice start on Monday with four-star shooting guard Kur Teng picking the Spartans over Rutgers and Providence.

But that got me thinking: who could be next?

Not only who might be next, but what would an ideal finish to the 2024 recruiting class look like for Tom Izzo and the Spartans?

Here are my top three remaining targets for MSU in 2024.

Four-star big man Jesse McCulloch is ranked the No. 86 overall prospect in the class and he’s the 15th-best center, per 247Sports, but I could see him projecting as a power forward at the next level with his slender 6-9, 190-pound frame.

McCulloch isn’t a crazy athlete, but he can stretch the floor, has a nice back-to-basket offensive game, and his touch around the rim is impressive. If he focuses on his defense, he could be a special player at the collegiate level.

And that could very well be in East Lansing.

On Tuesday, he announced that he’d be making his college decision on April 20 between Michigan State, Alabama, Xavier, and Virginia Tech. Most feel like the Spartans are the program to beat here and I tend to agree. Michigan State looks like it’ll be adding to its class in two weeks.

I like what McCulloch brings to the floor and Tom Izzo loves his floor-stretching big men so this fit makes sense.
