Malik Hall: B+

Malik Hall had a gutsy performance without scoring much off the bench. He had just four points on 2-of-7 shooting and he was 0-for-4 from deep, but his grade goes from B/B- range to a B+ because he had some huge rebounds (including the offensive board that sealed the win) and three big steals.

Hall needs to get it going offensively here soon if Michigan State wants to make a Final Four run, but his defense and rebounding has made up for it through two rounds.

Carson Cooper: B+

This may have been Carson Cooper’s best game of the season. With Jaxon Kohler not playing much (just a single minute), Cooper was the main sub for Mady Sissoko at center, playing 16 minutes. He had two points and two rebounds and played some stellar defense. His four fouls kept him off the floor for long stretches, but this was an impressive game.

Tre Holloman: C+

It’s hard to give Tre Holloman a grade since he played just five minutes and didn’t have any stats. He didn’t make any mistakes though and ran the point when AJ Hoggard needed a break due to foul trouble.
