Little did I know, the Spartans would stress me out even worse just seven days later.

Seeing how insane East Lansing was for the Maryland game, my friends and I assumed we had to get to a bar early if we wanted a good watching spot. For a 2:20 p.m. tipoff, we got to Dublin Square at 11:45 a.m. The place was empty, but we wanted the prime spot and what do 10 dudes do when they have no where to go and time to kill? Rack up huge bar tabs.

I’m introduced to the Black and Blue, which is Guinness mixed with Blue Moon. Incredible. But it turns out I needed that nerve calming base because this was one of the closest basketball games I’ve ever seen.

Neither team led by more than six and had five lead changes in the last five minutes.

Raymar Morgan iced the game with a free throw with two seconds left to send MSU to the Final Four.

We spent the next hour bar hopping along Albert Street, hugging strangers, cheersing our beers, and sharing a top college memory.
