Friday evening games

  • Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Northwestern Wildcats

These two teams met just one week ago, with Penn State stunning the Wildcats at home. But the double-bye gives the nerds a few extra days to find the hypotenuse of the square root of the exponent and find a way to win and add to the Wildcats’ historic season.

Prediction: Northwestern 68, Penn State 64

  • Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. Indiana Hoosiers

I would love nothing more than for Michigan State to finally play Minnesota this season, but that would require them to beat Indiana. Yes, Minnesota snatched a defeat from the jaws of victory when these two teams met in late January, failing to make a field goal in the last 6:22. But Indiana is refreshed and focused after their overtime battle with Michigan.

Prediction: Indiana 65, Minnesota 58
