Bucket of the Year: Keisei Tominaga

Bucket of the Year goes to Keisei Tominaga. Now you’re probably thinking, “Scott, he has played 0 minutes for MSU year,” and you would be right.

However, his cute little Steph Curry-esque 3-point basket in the 13-minute mark in the second half against MSU erupted something inside the Spartans who then  proceeded to outscore Nebraska and Ohio State 115-90 over the next 53 game minutes.

While that looked like the dagger to bury the Spartans, the leaders of this team dug a little deeper, ran a little faster, hustled a little harder and have been playing the best offensive basketball of the season.

With a long tourney run, we will look back at this specific shot as the turning point of the Spartans’ will and grit.
