Joey Hauser: A

Once again, Joey Hauser was the Spartans’ most consistent player. It’s been amazing to see him go from a hesitant player who lost confidence with every missed shot into what we see today.

Hauser has gone from one of the most criticized players on the team into one of the most consistent and a real leader. He’s gone from a player who aggravated fans on a game-to-game basis to a fan favorite in the span of a year.

Michigan State has needed that steady force throughout the season and Hauser has been just that. He’s usually hitting clutch threes and not showing any hesitation with even a foot of separation. And he’s been more creative in the way he creates for himself.

Hauser finished the Ohio State game (likely his last at the Breslin Center) with 16 points and six rebounds on 6-for-7 shooting. He was nearly perfect on Senior Day which was a fitting end to his Spartan home career.
