1. Michigan State beats Ohio State by 10-plus
Is Michigan State playing its best basketball of the season lately? You’d have to say yes despite two losses to Michigan and Iowa that probably should have been wins. The Spartans are 4-2 in their last six with two losses that should have flipped to wins and they’re a couple of plays away from being 20-9 overall instead of 18-11.
This team is a hiccup or two away from being a No. 6 or No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament this year and if you really want to dig deep, it probably should have beaten Gonzaga, Purdue, Rutgers, and Illinois as well. They could be 24-5 right now if they could close out games.
OK, let’s not dwell on the past.
Anyways, I think the Spartans will stay hot on Saturday afternoon against a shockingly-hot Ohio State team and win by double figures. They’ll impose their will like they did at Nebraska in the second half and score 80 in a winning effort.
Let’s go with 81-68 as the final.
