Ah, the game that’s circled on everyone’s calendar. Michigan vs. Michigan State. The rivalry that got ugly last season will be renewed in East Lansing this year.

I may sound a little crazy here, but I would not be shocked to see Michigan State pull off an upset in East Lansing here. Jim Harbaugh has a losing record against Mel Tucker and the Spartan head coach just knows how to get his guys up for this game.

Unfortunately, Michigan’s offense just has too much juice and the Spartans won’t be able to stop the Wolverines from running for 200-plus yards.

I expect a closer game than people think, but Michigan keeps Paul Bunyan.

Prediction: Loss (5-2, 2-2)

Minnesota came to East Lansing last year and absolutely stomped the Spartans. The Golden Gophers raced out to a 34-0 lead before Michigan State finally got on the scoreboard with garbage time touchdown from Noah Kim to Germie Bernard. It was ugly.

Another revenge game.

I can see Michigan State marching into Minneapolis and stealing one from the Golden Gophers who believe they have what it takes to win the Big Ten West.

Minnesota no longer has Tanner Morgan nor Mo Ibrahim so that plays right into the Spartans’ defensive favor and Katin Houser and the two-headed attack in the backfield will give the Gophers all they can handle. A huge road win for Mel Tucker and Co. as they become bowl eligible.

Prediction: Win (6-2, 3-2)
