Nick Marsh has been a Michigan State football commit since July and Mel Tucker landing him was one of his biggest recruiting wins as the Spartans’ head coach.

The four-star receiver grew up loving Michigan State and bought in to Tucker as the head coach. He figured to be one of the most sought-after receivers in the 2024 class but he decided to lock up his recruitment and close the door on other programs.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case, according to a recent On3 article.

Marsh is apparently planning to visit other schools and he gave an interesting quote to Chad Simmons.

You can read the rest of the article on 247Sports, and it would be easy to think that he’s not fully committed and worry about him decommitting, but that’s just not the case.

Michigan State football fans shouldn’t worry about Marsh

Marsh has been very open about being “locked in” with Michigan State and even tweeted that this past month.

Marsh and his mom have constantly posted about growing Michigan State’s 2024 class and making it one of the best in school history and I don’t think there should be any worry about him changing directions. He seems locked in with Michigan State and he just wants to enjoy his recruitment a little bit.

The nation’s No. 74 overall recruit, according to the composite, committed very early in the process and while he may be 100 percent sure he’s in the right place, he just wants to enjoy the process and take some trips. It’s not a bad thing.

Top recruits want to be treated as such and he hasn’t really gotten that opportunity.

So, should we be worried about Marsh? I don’t think so. He may hear other offers, but I’d be shocked if he was wearing something other than green and white at the next level.
