Signing one of the best classes in Michigan State football history, Mel Tucker has some top talent to work with in order to get this turnaround churning.

One of those top talents in the 2023 class is four-star defensive end Bai Jobe.

And this week, the Spartans’ top-ranked recruit moved up even more in the final 247Sports rankings. In fact, he went from No. 102 where he was moved down to in December all the way up to No. 55 which is where he’ll finish as the 2023 class is finalized.

Jobe officially becomes the highest-ranked Spartan commit since Devontae Dobbs and, before that, Malik McDowell.

It’s crazy to think that Jobe was a fringe top-250 recruit in March of 2021 and now he’s the No. 55 prospect in the entire country in January of 2023. It’s wild how much he’s grown and how much respect he’s getting on a national level.

Other Michigan State football recruits rise in final 247Sports rankings

Jobe isn’t the only Spartan recruit who jumped in the final 247Sports rankings as Jordan Hall snuck into the top 200 in the recent update. He’s now the No. 198 recruit in the country after being No. 204 in the previous update.

While Stanton Ramil and Andrew Depaepe both dropped slightly in the most recent rankings, they’ve both jumped significantly since the summer.

Ramil was No. 220 overall as recently as October and now he’s the nation’s No. 204 overall recruit and one of the best offensive tackles in the class. Depaepe was No. 174 in July and now he’s up to No. 124 nationally. He did drop just five spots in the latest rankings but his overall rise has been impressive.

Four players in the final top 250? Not too shabby.
