Jaden Akins: A-

Jaden Akins continued his hot streak on Thursday night.

Following up two really good performances against Rutgers and then at Indiana, it felt like Akins turned a corner as a player and he was starting to look like that breakout star that Tom Izzo predicted to show up before the season.

Akins ended up with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks. He looked really good all game long on both ends of the floor.

Shooting 5-for-11 from the floor, he gave the offense a nice boost and even hit a couple of threes. He continues to shoot really well from distance. And defensively, he looked like a lockdown defender as he had three steals and two blocks. Scoring on Akins is becoming increasingly difficult for opponents.

I’m really liking the player Akins is turning into.
