2. Jaxon Kohler has a nice encore

We got a taste of what Jaxon Kohler is capable of and Tom Izzo is going to give him another chance to prove himself against Trayce Jackson-Davis and the Hoosiers.

Fresh off a career game that saw him finish with 12 points and 11 rebounds, Kohler got every Michigan State fan’s attention. Maybe Michigan State does have a post threat on offense, after all.

Kohler was scoring at the rim with nifty post moves and he even hit a fadeaway jumper, Rasheed Wallace-style. He looked like he could be a guy who comes off the bench and gives Michigan State a nice boost in the post on offense. His defense is still an issue, but that’s something that’ll get better over time.

I think we’ll see Kohler have a memorable encore performance on Sunday afternoon in Bloomington, scoring 10-plus for a second straight game.
