2. Michigan State makes 10-plus threes

Coming off a hot shooting game against Wisconsin, I think Michigan State (like Joey Hauser) will keep the offense rolling at Illinois.

We saw that the Spartans were scared of hostile environments against Wisconsin and while the State Farm Center might be a little more intense than the Kohl Center, this team of veterans will be ready and won’t shy away from the spotlight.

Hauser will hit a few big 3-pointers, Jaden Akins will also hit two, AJ Hoggard will make one, Malik Hall will make two, Tyson Walker makes two, and Pierre Brooks finally gets hot and hits at least one off the bench. I think we’ll see this offense start to perk up a bit and play to its potential and a lot of the success will be because of elite guard play.

Michigan State needs to get hot early against Illinois if it wants a chance at pulling off a big road win on Friday night and I think it’ll get that because of this 3-point barrage.
