Going on the road in the Big Ten is never easy, especially when you’re facing a ranked team at the top of the conference standings. Well, Michigan State basketball took care of business against No. 18 Wisconsin on Tuesday night to improve to 12-4 overall and 4-1 in the league.

The Spartans are looking like one of the best teams in the Big Ten yet again after winning seven straight and they have all the momentum heading into a big game at Illinois on Friday.

Let’s take a look at some takeaways from the huge win.

3. Joey Hauser got back on track in a big way

Joey Hauser had one of his best games of the season and that followed up a rough two-game stretch in which he was just 7-for-23 from the floor and 3-for-14 from deep against Michigan and Nebraska combined.

He needed a game like this against Wisconsin.

Hauser was 6-for-8 from the floor and 2-for-3 from deep and really stepped up when Michigan State needed a big shot. He also hit all of his free throws and grabbed eight rebounds while playing solid, but not great, defense.

In need of a bounce-back game, Hauser got it in a big way in a bit of a homecoming on Tuesday night.
