Jeremiah Beasley, the younger brother of tight end Maliq Carr, just released a top five this week and the Spartans made the cut. Along with Michigan State on his trimmed list are Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee, and Pitt. It feels like Michigan State is in a really good spot with Beasley and he’s one of the best defensive players in the entire class.

After winning a second straight state title with Belleville, Beasley could focus on his recruiting process and maybe make a decision before his senior season.

If you’re looking at the composite, Beasley is the No. 250 overall recruit in the class but 247Sports is much higher on him as he’s the No. 158 recruit, 13th-best linebacker, and fourth-best in-state prospect. Michigan State might be the early leader for him because of his brother, but don’t sleep on the Wolverines either.

Michigan State owns all the crystal ball predictions for the four-star linebacker from Belleville and he’d be a heck of an addition in the 2024 class.

A defensive class with Jaylen Thompson, Jamari Howard, and Beasley would be a heck of a start.
