Michigan State basketball reaching out most to 5-star SF Bryson Tucker

Tom Izzo has had a lot of time off over Christmas break and that’s given him an opportunity to go out and recruit for the future of Michigan State basketball.

There have been multiple reports about him reaching out the most to some of the top recruits in the 2024 class and potentially getting a visit from five-star small forward Bryson Tucker from IMG Academy.

He’s been one of the top targets on the board for the Spartans and the fact that he stated that Michigan State is “certain” to get an official visit is actually huge.

On top of that, a report surfaced that Michigan State is one of the schools that’s been reaching out to the nation’s fourth-best small forward the most.

Duke, Indiana, Auburn, and USC are also in the mix but it feels like Izzo is putting himself in a good spot with this five-star wing.

There’s a good chance Michigan State will have a good number of spots open to use on the 2024 class with Joey Hauser, Tyson Walker, AJ Hoggard, and Mady Sissoko all gone by then. Heck, even Xavier Booker could be gone by that point, leaving at least a few spots open.

Tucker would be a good addition at small forward and Kur Teng would be the perfect shooting guard with someone like James Brown at center. If there’s one more spot open, I think looking at four-star power forward Aiden Sherrell would be ideal or even four-star point guard Jase Richardson.

A future lineup with Jeremy Fears, Coen Carr, Tucker, Kohler, and Brown would be electric.
