Yes, another lineman. This time, it’s Keyshawn Blackstock who was the last player to commit to Michigan State’s 2023 class out of Coffeyville C.C. in Kansas.

Unlike Ramil, however, Blackstock could be a legitimate day one starter and I’d honestly be surprised if he wasn’t. He has great size at 6-5 and 315 pounds and although he was ranked the No. 1 JUCO interior offensive lineman per the composite, the staff will likely slot him in at right tackle. He’s going to be a heck of a replacement for Jarrett Horst.

Blackstock was a JUCO All-American and he’s one of the most Division 1-ready newcomers in the class and Michigan State has to feel good about the future of the offensive line.

Mel Tucker made a strong push for Blackstock because he felt like he could start right away and if I’m making a two-deep prediction today, he’s the starter at right tackle.

I’d put money on Blackstock having the biggest impact on offense in the Spartans’ 2023 class.
