Put me in that group of Michigan State fans who were worried about Stanton Ramil’s letter of intent on Wednesday morning.

OK, it was just a slight worry because he had openly been stating that he wasn’t going anywhere else, but with rumors of other schools pushing for his commitment leading up to signing day, you just never know. Signing day usually leads to unpredictable storylines and Mel Tucker has been burned before.

Ramil filled a major need for the Spartans as he put the pen to paper as the offensive line is a thin position group and he’s Chris Kapilovic’s top signee yet.

Will he start right away? I’m going to say probably not, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him in the regular rotation at tackle. He could be a starter by his sophomore year or even the middle of his freshman campaign, but he’ll be important to the offense nonetheless.

Ramil plays with a mean streak and is one of the best offensive linemen in the class. Michigan State will need his services right away.
