It’s been a rollercoaster of an offseason thus far for Michigan State football and that’s due to the constant recruiting news that’s peppered the Spartans.

They’ll land some recruits and then lose a guy like Germie Bernard to the portal. And then they’ll flip other recruits and then miss out on Samson Okunlola.

But the 2023 recruiting class and transfer portal class could get the Spartans back on track after a rough 2022 season.

Here’s who I’d like to see the Spartans land in the 2023 recruiting class or via the portal this offseason.

Honorable Mention: Andrew Harris, Michael Harris (4-star LBs)

Over the summer, Michigan State hosted four-star Florida linebacker twins Andrew and Michael Harris. The two were a package deal and the Spartans seemed to be in good position for them.

But then they committed to UCF and stayed close to home.

Fast forward to December and the door has opened yet again for the four-star twins as they both decommitted from UCF following the departure of their defensive coordinator to Arkansas.

Would they follow him to Arkansas to go with one of the original finalists in their recruitment (Maryland, MSU). The early rumors were that they’d be heading to Fayetteville, but a recent crystal ball for the twins has them ending up at Maryland.

However, Michigan State just lost Jayvant Brown and it’ll need some linebacker depth so I’d love to see Mel Tucker reach back out and gauge the interest here.

Michael is ranked the No. 417 prospect in the class and Andrew is No. 310.
