Michigan State basketball one of programs reaching out most to 5-star SG Isaiah Elohim
A lot of positive Michigan State basketball recruiting news came out on Tuesday.
Tom Izzo has been hard at work over the past few months and he even landed the No. 3 recruiting class for 2023 and all four guys have officially signed. It’ll be a year before they get to campus, but they’re all game-changing recruits for the Spartans.
The 2024 class, however, could be just as good, if not better, than MSU’s 2023 group.
And that’s saying a lot.
On Tuesday, a report surfaced from Joe Tipton that stated that five-star small forward Bryson Tucker would be visiting East Lansing at some point.
And then 247 High School Hoops tweeted that 2024 five-star shooting guard Isaiah Elohim told them that Michigan State was one of the programs reaching out the most early on.
Clearly he has a jam-packed list of potential suitors with Gonzaga, Arkansas, Baylor, Michigan, Kansas State, UCLA, and Texas all reaching out the most along with Michigan State.
Elohim is ranked the No. 12 overall recruit and third-best shooting guard in the 2024 class, per the 247Sports Composite.
Michigan State basketball could have a special 2024 class
Xavier Booker, Jeremy Fears, Coen Carr, and Gehrig Normand make up the 2023 class and they’ll join an already-impressive roster next season.
But don’t sleep on the 2024 class.
Outside of Elohim (No. 12 nationally), the Spartans are after Flory Bidunga (No. 4), Tucker (No. 7), James Brown (No. 27), Jase Richardson (No. 35), Kur Teng (No. 36), Aiden Sherrell (No. 41), and Tyler Betsey (No. 82) in the 2024 class.
If Izzo can land 2-3 of these guys to go along with the 2023 class and a senior class of Jaden Akins and Pierre Brooks with juniors Jaxon Kohler, Tre Holloman, and Carson Cooper, the Spartans could be national title contenders for a couple straight years.
