Michigan State basketball “certain” to get visit from 5-star SF Bryson Tucker
Tom Izzo has about a week and a half off before Michigan State basketball has its next game. This is a nice deviation from what’s been normal through the first month, or so, of the 2022-23 season with 2-3 games per week and any normal person would spend that time resting and maybe disconnecting after practices.
Izzo is not a normal person.
The Hall of Fame head coach has spent his time off recruiting and it’s paying major dividends as it looks like his 2024 class could turn out to be something really special.
There are guys like James Brown and Kur Teng who Michigan State is in good standing with, but you can’t overlook other targets who are highly ranked and who may not quite be on the radar for most fans yet.
A guy like Bryson Tucker comes to mind.
Michigan State basketball “certain” to get Tucker visit
The five-star small forward who currently attends IMG Academy is one of the top players in the entire 2024 class, and according to Joe Tipton of On3, he’s planning out some visits but Michigan State is the only one that’s for certain.
"“Michigan State is the one right now that we know we’re probably going to visit. That’s the one that’s certain right now.”"
Tucker went on to say that the friendly vibe he gets from the staff is standing out and the fact that they showed up “five-deep” to one of his practices was awesome.
Michigan State is going to have to fend off some elite programs to land a guy like Tucker as Duke, Illinois, Indiana, and Villanova, among others, have all offered.
Tucker is the No. 7 overall recruit and fourth-best small forward in the 2024 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
