1. Michigan State has its best offensive game in three weeks

Will Michigan State beat Penn State? I honestly don’t know, especially considering that the Spartans have regressed so drastically over the past couple of games. The injuries to Jaden Akins and Malik Hall have taken their toll on this team and hopefully the return of the former is going to ease the troubles a bit.

I do, however, think the offense will look much better against Penn State than it has in a few weeks.

Michigan State averages about 70 points per game and it hasn’t reached that plateau since the Portland game. I think Michigan State will reach 70 and potentially even push for 80 against the Nittany Lions, avoiding a complete meltdown offensively for a third straight game.

With Pierre Brooks and Akins playing well along with a huge game from Tyson Walker, Michigan State’s offense should get some complementary efforts from Joey Hauser, AJ Hoggard, and Mady Sissoko in the post.

I think the Spartans’ defense may struggle to slow the Nittany Lions which could lead to a loss, but at least the offense will look better.
