1. Michigan State bounces back for a double-digit-point win

Losing the Notre Dame game almost felt like it was expected. If you’re anything like me, you had a bad feeling about that first true road game because of the tired legs after playing four games in six days and traveling across the country with eight scholarship players.

Now it’s time to bounce back. Michigan State will take out some anger on Northwestern.

I do think the Wildcats are better than people think as they took Auburn down to the wire and nearly pulled off a massive upset but Michigan State is one of the better teams in the Big Ten when it plays to its potential. It’s going to play one of its best games of the season against a stingy Northwestern defense to top 70 points, shoot over 40 percent from 3-point range, and run away with a 72-61 win over the Wildcats.

Northwestern is going to hang around for a while and maybe even hold a lead in the first half, but like the Portland game, Michigan State is going to come out of the locker room firing on all cylinders to recapture the lead and the momentum.

Michigan State wins this one by 11.
