2. Jalen Berger has been playing really well lately

A guy who hasn’t been talked about a ton lately is Jalen Berger.

Berger has rushed for 50-plus rushing yards in three of the past four weeks. Other than the Michigan game, he’s been looking really good.

The Wisconsin transfer had another solid game on Saturday afternoon, rushing for 80-plus yards for a second straight game. He finished with 85 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. He’s combined for 166 yards and a touchdown on 31 carries against Rutgers and Illinois — two teams with really solid run defenses.

Michigan State hasn’t had a strong run game all year long but seeing Berger come on late in the season has been refreshing and it’d be nice if he could carry this over into the final two games, a potential bowl, and hold on to that starting job next season and continue to improve.

Let’s give Berger some credit.
