2. A rushing attack with a pulse

We saw the rushing attack come to life against the nation’s best defense last week as Jalen Berger had his best game since dropping 100 yards on Akron.

I want to see that again.

Although Rutgers does have a solid defense this year, giving up just 127 rushing yards per game, the Spartans will need to keep the same strategy they had last week and run zone reads to help Berger find more running lanes that otherwise wouldn’t be there.

I’d also like to see more Jarek Broussard and Elijah Collins because both have been fairly quiet this season and I think they have a lot to offer the offense.

The offense needs to have a running game with a pulse if Payton Thorne is going to have any success through the air.
