When Michigan State football was in the market for a quarterback this summer, it was firmly in the race for five-star Detroit King superstar Dante Moore.

The native of Michigan was giving the home-state Spartans a serious look, but when they picked up three-star Bo Edmundson, it felt like they were throwing in the towel with other schools like Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, and Notre Dame right there in the race.

It was a given that Moore wasn’t going to choose the Spartans at that point and the dream of landing the No. 2 quarterback in the class and the No. 3 overall prospect in the country was dead. He committed to Oregon in July and it was officially time to move on as the Spartans had their quarterback and Moore found his school.

That was until last week when Edmundson and the Spartans parted ways and a report came out that Mel Tucker was going to circle back and put the full-court press on Moore to flip.

Rumors have been running rampant ever since and the Moore to MSU talk has only heated up with a crystal ball from Sean Scherer on 247Sports.

Michigan State football gets a flip crystal ball for Moore

Scherer sent social media into a frenzy on Sunday night after he placed a crystal ball for a flip in for Moore to Michigan State. And not only was he projecting the flip, he also used the confidence of ‘7.’

While this needs to be taken with a grain of salt because this could just be a gut feeling or a source telling him that Tucker is making a strong push, but it’s notable for sure.

Michigan State is at least making Moore hear it out before either reaffirming his Oregon commitment or deciding to flip.

It’s also notable that reports came out this weekend that Oregon head coach Dan Lanning and Auburn are mutually interested. If he leaves Oregon, there’s a good chance Moore heads somewhere else.

This will be worth monitoring, but the rumors are heating up.
