Michigan State football: 3 bold predictions vs. No. 16 Illinois in Week 10

1. Michigan State covers, scores more than 14

Again, this doesn’t seem like that bold of a prediction, but when you face a team that hasn’t given up more than 14 points since Week 2, it’s extremely bold.

Illinois has the No. 1 total defense and the No. 1 scoring defense in the country. No, that’s not a typo, the Illini have the nation’s best defense which honestly blows my mind.

Anyways, the Spartans are going to come out with (hopefully) a better game plan than the one that was put forth against Michigan and they’ll score more than 14 and cover the +17 spread that’s just about everywhere right now.

I don’t see Michigan State getting blown out here although I do see the Spartans losing. They’ll play a close game and come up just short in the end probably due to some lackluster playcalling.

In the end, Michigan State loses something like 23-16 to fall to 3-6.
