4. Daylen Austin, 4-star CB (LSU commit)

This one might be tough, but it’s an important recruitment. Daylen Austin has been committed to LSU since May and even though he took an official visit to Michigan State in June, he remained firm in his pledge to the Tigers.

But with the amount of help that Michigan State needs in its secondary, Mel Tucker may be able to circle back and pitch early playing time. Heck, Austin could be a day one starter.

Austin is ranked the No. 127 overall recruit and 12th-best cornerback in the class and while I would have had someone like Ryan Yaites here who seemed more likely, he reaffirmed his commitment to LSU this week and “closed his recruitment.”

Tucker has to be pushing hard for this guy because he could change the outlook in the secondary immediately.

Other guys to consider here might be King Mack, Elliot Washington, or Caleb Presley. No matter who Tucker chooses to circle back to, he needs to go all in.
