Heading into a bye week, one thing is for certain: Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker is going to be recruiting his butt off.

The third-year head coach is a master recruiter and he’s undoubtedly out looking to make his roster better during the bye week because he doesn’t get time to travel during the regular season. And he’s been out visiting some top targets all week.

Here’s who I think should be the top remaining Michigan State football recruiting targets for Tucker and Co. in the 2023 class.

5. Logan Brown, OT (Wisconsin transfer)

OK, so this isn’t exactly a 2023 recruiting class target, but he’d be coming in with that group if he were to commit to Michigan State.

Let’s face it, the Spartans need plenty of help on the offensive line and the former five-star recruit from Grand Rapids would be the perfect option. While he’s not the most talented guy out there, he’s going to be a solid addition to whatever program he chooses and he should have an immediate impact.

Brown entered the transfer portal after Jim Leonhard reportedly dismissed him from the team after an incident at practice. While that’s slightly concerning, I don’t see one incident in four years deterring the staff.

A veteran presence on the offensive line with experience in the Big Ten would be ideal in the portal and this is my top current transfer option.
