2. The defense forces three turnovers

I predicted two forced turnovers by this defense against CJ Stroud last week and I came one short of being right. Charles Brantley picked off the Heisman-contending quarterback and returned it for a touchdown in the first quarter to tie the game up.

I was close.

This time, I’m going bolder and I think the defense will finally step up and do something big against a Wisconsin team whose offense has looked inept against every team not named Northwestern this year.

Michigan State’s defense has looked very, very bad this year, so it’s not like the Badgers should have much of a problem moving the ball, but Graham Mertz can get rattled when he sees pressure. I think Michigan State will send more blitzes his way and force him into some mistakes.

I see the Spartans turning the Badgers over three times.
