Michigan State football might be going through a tough season, but that doesn’t mean everything has to be bad news.

On Wednesday, 247Sports released their latest Top247 rankings and five Spartans appeared on it for the first time this year.

In fact, two Michigan State commits saw a healthy jump.

Kedrick Reescano and Andrew Depaepe both jumped considerably in the latest Top247, according to Corey Robinson of 247Sports.

Reescano went from outside of the last Top247 all the way to No. 179 and Depaepe went from No. 174 to No. 119.

Who else made the cut?

Five Michigan State football commits make Top247

There were three other Spartan commits to make the cut and they were Bai Jobe, Jordan Hall, and Stanton Ramil. All five guys should have an immediate impact on the program next season and Michigan State fans should be excited about the future despite the present not looking so hot.

Jobe is the highest-ranked recruit in the class for MSU, ranked No. 84 after dropping 11 spots from the previous Top247 — for whatever reason. He’s been killing it this season.

Hall is one of the best leaders in the class from IMG Academy. He looks like a future MSU captain and he’s ranked the No. 183 prospect in the class, down six spots.

Lastly, there’s Ramil who was one of the last players to commit to the class. He’s a huge offensive linemen which is exactly what this program needs and he’s ranked the No. 219 overall prospect in the class after previously being 201.

Love to see Reescano and Depaepe make huge jumps, though.
