1. Michigan State football pulls off the win as a home “dog”

Believe it or not, Michigan State is a three-point underdog at home against unranked Minnesota. Doesn’t make a ton of sense, right? Well, seeing as the Gophers are 3-0 and coming off a blowout win over a Pac-12 team (albeit it was Colorado) and Michigan State is 2-1 fresh off a double-digit road loss to a Pac-12 team, Vegas likes Minnesota’s chances.

The Spartans are 5-2 overall after a loss under Mel Tucker and 2-0 since that COVID-19 year and I just think he does a great job managing the team and fixing issues after an ugly loss.

He’ll do that against Minnesota on Saturday.

Plus, this is a better matchup for Michigan State than Washington was. The Spartans’ defensive strength is against the run and the Gophers’ strength on offense is their run game. It’s a strength-on-strength matchup and I think the home-field advantage will push Michigan State over the top.

The Spartans not only cover the +3 spread, but they will take this one with a home underdog win.
