Michigan State football: Kedrick Reescano gets deserved ratings boost

A couple of years ago, Michigan State football had a running back commit by the name of Audric Estime who was dominating at the high school level during his senior year. He looked like he was about to be the next Spartan running back great.

And then other schools came a-calling and he felt like a fit at Notre Dame.

Kedrick Reescano is the best running back to commit to the Spartans since Estime and he’s having similar success in his senior year at New Caney High School in Texas. This recruitment also feels a lot different seeing as he’s been developing great bonds with other commits in the class such as Andrew Depaepe. Reescano is a Spartan.

And like Estime, his stock is on the rise.

So far in his senior season with New Caney, he’s rushed for over 500 yards and is averaging 10.1 yards per touch. He has looked like one of the best and most dominant running back recruits in the class.

Reescano was already a four-star recruit but he was rated an 89 by 247Sports and was on the fringe. That changed as of Thursday.

According to Gabe Brooks of 247Sports, Reescano got a nice bump in the ratings from an 89 to a 90 because of the fantastic start to his season and I’d be willing to bet his rise is not over yet. He’s going to be a comfortable four-star and a potential Top247 recruit by the time he graduates.

Michigan State is starting to look like RBU with all of this talent in the backfield.
