1. Michigan State football wins on a late fourth-quarter TD

The spread for this game favors Washington by three points and it feels like everyone is hammering that. Not many people outside of East Lansing believe in the Spartans.

And that’s exactly where this team likes to be. Doubted.

Mel Tucker’s team was doubted a year ago heading into a road battle with Miami and they came away with a three-score win, dragging the Hurricanes into the deep water in the fourth quarter. I could kind of see the same thing happening here, but I think this one will actually be much closer.

Michigan State’s conditioning will set it apart late in the fourth with the Washington defense reeling and Payton Thorne will hit Daniel Barker in the end zone for the go-ahead score with a couple of minutes left in a tie game. This will put the Spartans up seven and Washington won’t be able to go down and tie it up.

The game will end on a Charles Brantley interception and Michigan State improves to 3-0 after the 34-27 win.
