2. Payton Thorne needs to find his rhythm

Whatever is going on with Payton Thorne needs to be corrected. He didn’t have a great game but he also didn’t look terrible. He threw one really bad interception and another was just a poor decision as he took a flea-flicker and gunned it down the field and it was picked off while he was getting drilled in the backfield.

He finished the game 18-for-28 with 212 yards and two picks but he missed a lot of open receivers and just wasn’t playing the way fans have been used to seeing.

Thorne is getting happy feet in the pocket, rushing throws, and forcing too much. He needs to settle down, trust his line which was really good on Saturday, and go through his progressions. His receivers have been there, he just needs to trust them.

It’s time for Thorne to figure things out after seven shaky quarters.
