2. Keon Coleman is going to be fun to watch
No surprise here, but Keon Coleman might just turn into a superstar for Michigan State.
The sophomore receiver led all receivers with 84 yards and a touchdown on four receptions and although he did let one slip through his fingers in the third quarter which got Payton Thorne a little heated, he was making plays all night long.
There’s a reason we’ve been hearing about Keon all fall camp long and it’s because he just looks like a matchup nightmare for cornerbacks and you feel like that 50/50 ball is going to be reeled in 100 percent of the time. He even said it’s more like a 90/10 ball for him.
Coleman’s confidence was on display throughout the game and he caught some contested passes and made defenders look silly. This is just the start for him as I believe he could be Michigan State’s second-leading receiver this year behind Jayden Reed.
Let’s just hope Reed can stay healthy.
