There may not be more hype around a single player on the team that hasn’t quite proved themselves yet than there is following Keon Coleman.

Every time he speaks to the media or posts on Twitter, it makes headlines. People love hearing from Coleman because no one truly believes he’s going to have a breakout season more than himself. He even said on social media a couple of weeks ago that it’s time to buy stock in him. Days later, he told the media to expect a breakout season from him.

And whenever Michigan State football’s Twitter account posts highlights from the preseason scrimmages, Keon is making plays and scoring touchdowns.

This just seems like an obvious choice.

Jalen Nailor is gone so Michigan State needs a third wideout to step up next to Jayden Reed and Tre Mosley and the easy choice is Coleman. He’s arguably the biggest freak athlete in the receiving corps and he’s as confident as anyone on the field.

Coleman is a quarterback’s dream because he believes he’s going to come down with every 50/50 ball. Payton Thorne is going to have plenty “Keon is down there somewhere” throws this season.
