Michigan State basketball commit Gehrig Normand is at the annual Pangos Festival and he’s apparently putting on a show among some of the nation’s top prospects.

This week marks the annual Pangos All-American Festival in Long Beach, Calif., and there are a couple of top prospects there representing Michigan State basketball.

Those prospects are Jeremy Fears and Gehrig Normand.

This is a chance for these recruits to show out in front of fans while playing with and against some of the nation’s top recruits. Fears played well on day one with a 16-point, 10-assist performance while Normand had a huge day of his own.

According to Nate Buss who is there to cover the camp, Normand ‘put on a show’ on Saturday with an electric performance.

It sounds like Normand’s stock is on the rise, but his fellow 2023 Michigan State commit is also standing out after the first day of the All-American Festival.

Tom Izzo has to be thrilled with this as two of his four commits in the 2023 class are standing out among dozens of other top prospects. He has pieced together an incredible class with Fears, Normand, Rivals’ No. 1 overall prospect Xavier Booker, and Team USA 3on3 representative Coen Carr. This might go down as his best class ever.

Michigan State is set for years to come and it feels like Izzo has found his second wind and is more motivated than ever to win a national title.

I’m sure we’ll hear more good things about Fears and Normand after the semifinal and championship game on Sunday night. No surprise here.
