Michigan State football running back commit Kedrick Reescano had a massive first game of his senior opener for New Caney High School.

While the Michigan State football season is almost upon us, the start of high school ball is also important to keep an eye on.

Everyone is excited to see how the Spartans will fare this season after going 11-2 last year, and rightly so, but it’s also exciting to watch Michigan State commits thrive at the high school level.

The 2023 class is entering its senior season and Friday was the first game of the season for a number of future Spartans, including four-star running back Kedrick Reescano.

The Texas native doesn’t quite get enough respect from recruiting services as he’s a 247Sports three-star and a composite fringe four-star. He might just get a nice bump after he shows out during his senior season and if his first game of the year was any indication, he could skyrocket up the recruiting rankings.

Reescano had a monster first game, rushing for over 250 yards and five touchdowns — and those were his numbers just halfway through the third quarter.

Reescano looks the part of the future RB1 of Michigan State football.

I had an inkling that his three-star rating by 247Sports was way off and this confirms it and I’m sure we’re going to see him put up these types of numbers all season long for New Caney.

Mel Tucker has done a great job with the 2023 class and his running back commit looks to be a hidden gem.
